A high-stakes love and death romance set in a luxury resort by a multiple award-winning, Carnegie-shortlisted author: They Both Die at the End meets Romeo and Juliet meets The White Lotus.
DON'T FALL IN LOVE.
That's the only rule.
In this world, everyone knows their death date. If you're rich, you can check in to a resort to have the greatest final few weeks of your life, in five-star luxury.
Regan works at one of these resorts as a "Juliet". Her next client is Jude, who has a week to live. Regan's job is simple: make Jude feel as though he has found true love before he dies.
But when a fake romance starts to become something else, can they take on Fate together - before Jude's death date catches up with them?

Kelly McCaughrain's debut, Flying Tips for Flightless Birds, won an unprecedented hat-trick of Children's Books Ireland awards, as well as the Northern Ireland Book Award. Her second YA novel Little Bang (2024) addresses topical concerns around teen pregnancy and the right to choose.
Kelly was the Children's Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland, and works at Belfast Met College as educational support for young adults with special needs. She says: "I get my best ideas from observing teens. I love their high ideals and natural barometer for injustice. I always want to write things that are worthy of their huge capacity to scrutinise the world and their place in it." When she isn't writing, she likes to travel with her 1967 classic campervan, Gerda, and her 1977 classic husband.
