David Allan began writing SFF after a career in medicine, and his books are published by Elsewhen Press. Kate Macdonald is an editor, a writer, a literary historian and was the founder of Handheld Press. Her first published SFF short story was selected for Best of British Science Fiction 2019. Susan Oke has published her SFF short stories widely and was the Reviews Editor for the BSFA Journal for many years. Sandra Unerman has a background in the law and the civil service, and has published her work in many magazines and collections. A D Watts was able to spend time writing SFF after a long career in education.
