His picture books include Inch and Grub illustrated by David Roberts, which won the Queen Knickers Award and Scottish Book Trust's Bookbug PIcture Book Prize, as well as The Prince and the Witch and the Thief and the Bears, and its companion titles The Tale of the Valiant Ninja Frog and Space Pirate Bears, all illustrated by Jez Tuya.
