Every major teaching of the New Testament has roots deep in the Old Testament. Many Christians have been taught to interpret the Old Testament through the filter of the New. This book instead encourages us to return to our biblical roots, which means to interpret the New Testament through the filter of the Old just as the early apostles had done. The modern day church has lost much of its original Hebraic perspective that Jesus/Yeshua drew so profoundly from as He ushered in the new covenant.
Homecoming: Our Return to Biblical Roots challenges us to readjust our study of scripture and to become bible believers rather than just New Testament believers. In an age where there are various winds of doctrine blowing, this book will provide solid foundations for understanding the roots of our faith - a homecoming of today's church to it's Hebraic past.
The book is split into three parts and is comprehensively indexed and referenced making it an excellent resource tool for theological studies, personal study, as a Bible study guide, as a reference for sermon preparation, or as a class textbook.
The book will help answer questions such as:
How did Yeshua (Jesus) view the Tanach?
What is Israel's significance in the plan of God?
Should Christians celebrate the Jewish Feasts?
How should believers relate to Jewish people?
What biblical rights do Moslems have in the Land of Israel?
Homecoming was previously published under the title, Roots of our Faith.

Über den Autor
Living in Israel, Chuck is a veteran immigrant from the United States and is a director and board member of Intercessors for Israel. After having served with King of Kings Community in Jerusalem for 17 years, he is currently attending El Roii Congregation. Chuck preaches, teaches and writes and is involved in several international conferences in Jerusalem. He travels and speaks internationally, and has been featured on several Christian television and radio programs. Chuck and his wife Karen write Watchmen from Jerusalem, a newsletter that provides a biblical perspective on the news and informs readers of events in Israel and the world, with the goal of fueling the fires of intercession.
Ex-hippies, Chuck and Karen have been ministering in the Messianic movement since 1979. In 1989, they were called to live in Jerusalem with their two sons and have gained a broad historic and cultural perspective. God has given them a burden for the restoration of the Church to its biblical foundations, the roots of our faith.
As one of the directors of Intercessors For Israel, Chuck preaches, teaches and writes about believers' God-given commission to Israel and the Jewish people, as well as other issues that speak to the heart of Messiah's end-time Bride, such as intercessory prayer, the roots of our faith, and end-time deception.
Chuck is intense, funny and able to keep the attention of seminary students, pastors, and their congregations through three-day seminars.
He is involved in several international conferences in Jerusalem, travels and speaks internationally and has appeared on several Christian television and radio programs.
Chuck and Karen, contributors to Sword magazine, also write a biblical perspective on the news, Watchmen from Jerusalem, providing a prophetic understanding about Israel's current situation - with the goal of encouraging prayer.
