The Author: Judy Anne White teaches English literature at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Her most recent publications include articles in the international journal of children's literature, Bookbird, and The Dictionary of Literary Biography: British Children's Writers: 1800-1880.
