Über den Autor
Aditi Srivastava Modi is a cultural enthusiast and author, living in Southern California with her husband, Bhavik, who hopes to bring the vibrant joys of Indian festivals to life for young readers. Growing up in the US, her passion for tradition is deeply rooted in her upbringing and her family's connection to Lucknow, India. Aditi understands the importance of preserving these cultural narratives in an engaging way for the next generation. She looks to provide an authentic lens through which she explores each festival's significance and stories. Professionally known as 'Itida,' she is an acclaimed singer-songwriter trained by Padmavibhushan Dr. Girija Devi, blending Hindustani classical music (Benaras Gharana) with folk and contemporary styles. Her albums and singles have achieved many recognitions, including a spot on India's Top 10 independent music charts and her being awarded the Uttar Pradesh NRI Ratna Award in 2017. That same creative energy which she pours into her music and commitment to cultural preservation now fuels her writing. Through her children books, Aditi makes the history and celebration of Indian culture & festivals accessible, educational, and fun for every child and their parents, too.
