Über den Autor
Francis Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) byl americký spisovatel, jeho díla se stala symbolem "jazzového vku". Proslavil se svými romány i povídkami, v nich zachycoval bohatství, touhy a zklamání své generace. Jeho nejznámjí knihou je Velký Gatsby (1925), povaovaný za jeden z nejvtích román 20. století. Fitzgeraldv styl se vyznäuje lyrickou elegancí a pronikavou psychologií postav. Pestoe se za jeho ivota potýkal s finanními problémy a uznání získal a posmrtn, dnes je vnímán jako jeden z nejvýznamnjích amerických autor moderní literatury.
