Beschreibung

This new Crossbill Guide to Finnish Lapland is a fully revised and updated version of the first edition (2010). The book covers the Finnish part of Lapland, including the wildlife-rich region of Kuusamo, just south-east of the official border of Lapland. This is one of the last true wildernesses of our great continent. It is a superb region for birdwatching, for long trips on foot or ski and for watching the northern lights. As any Crossbill Guide, the title on Finnish Lapland gives detailed route descriptions (22 in total) and site descriptions (23 in total) for naturalists, covering the best sites for birdwatching, finding wildflowers, watching bears and other large mammals and experiencing the wilderness. This information comes with extensive descriptions of the ecology, geology, history and flora and fauna of Finnish Lapland.
