Über den Autor
BORN IN MANCHESTER INTO an Irish family, a childhood illness led Ged Duffy to discover a lifelong obsession with music and the advent of Punk spurred him on further as the city became the epicentre of the Alternative scene in the UK. Following a series of dead end jobs he ended up as a stage-hand at The Russell Club in Hulme where Factory Records boss Tony Wilson put on most of the bands associated with post-punk, most notably Joy Division. Ged soon formed his own band, Stockholm Monsters, releasing several singles on Factory before touring Europe with New Order. Yet his decision to leave the band following that tour was one of several huge mistakes he made in his life that he reflects on here.
