Dr. Marylene Cloitre a Research Health Science Specialist at the National Center for PTSD Dissemination and Training Division at the Palo Alto VA Health Care Services, California, USA. She is also Clinical Professor (Affiliate) of the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Her research and clinical work for the past 30 years has focused on the long-term effects of childhood trauma on social and emotional functioning. Her current research is dedicated to the development of effective, patient-tailored, flexibly-delivered mental health programs for trauma exposed populations. She is also the 2015 recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Practice of Trauma Psychology from Division 56 of the American Psychological Association.
