Beschreibung
Emeli Sandé is an English-born Scottish recording artist and songwriter. In 2012 she was named Critics' Choice at the Brit Awards for Our Version of Events, which went on to become the biggest selling UK album in 2012- spending 7 consecutive weeks at number one in the UK album charts.

Emeli Sandé has written for a number of other artists, including Alicia Keys, Gabrielle, Leona Lewis, Alesha Dixon, and Cheryl Cole. She performed at both the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic Games. In 2013 Sandé won the Best British Female and Best British Album award at the Brits, and received two Ivor Novello Awards for her single Next To Me.
In this biography author John Dingwall talks to Emeli, her parents, her sister, schoolteachers and those who have been involved in her career. He details her childhood, her first record deal and how she was initially rejected by Gary Barlow - who told her she was never going to be a star.

Emeli Sandé - Read All About It tells of how the singer eventually landed a deal with Virgin and talks about her early collaborations with other artists, including Wiley, Tinie Tempah, Susan Boyle and Professor Green, before making it as an artist in her own right.
