Maggie grew up in Western Queensland, Australia and travelled independently from a young age. She has travelled to many countries and experienced many different cultures and traditions. Maggie has been writing and illustrating full time since 2017. Maggie writes to inspire children to embrace travelling and learning about new cultures. Maggie has written travel articles for magazines and newspapers since 2012 and has had her digital artwork published in an international magazine, Living the Photo Artistic Life - issues 17, 23, 26.

Maggie is a member of SCBWI, CBCA and Queensland Writers Centre.
