Stefanei Freeman is the author of her debut book Deep Ocean. Growing up playing on the beaches of Southern California, she could never keep mermaids off of her mind. She couldn't resist this opportunity to expand the black fantasy genre, in hopes to inspire her readers to reconcile with the past and to love the skin they're in.
