Über den Autor

Jenny Billingham (@flynn_and_mabel) is a self-taught embroidery artist who studied surface design and printed textiles at university. She began experimenting with embroidery just before the pandemic began in 2020. Since then, she has co-authored Creative Embroidery & Beyond, written Easy Embroidery Embellishments, and featured in various embroidery and stitching magazines. Through sharing simple embroidery ideas and techniques, Jenny has amassed over 4 million followers across social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.

Sophie Timms (@mindfulmantra_embroidery) lives in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, and is the owner and creator behind Mindful Mantra Embroidery. She graduated with a law degree but quickly hated her job and began dabbling in embroidery as a creative outlet during the pandemic lockdown. Her shop name comes from a blog she created at a time when she struggled with mindfulness and positivity. She considers embroidery a form of self-care and a means for practicing mindfulness and stress-relief. Sophie sells her work online and runs in-person workshops as well as online classes.

Theresa Wensing [...] is an embroiderer based in Cologne, Germany. She has made it her mission to teach people how to embroider using beginner-friendly templates. She works a regular day job and didn’t realize she was artistic until the age of 28. She began juggling at the beginning of the pandemic and then learned to embroider as she sought a hobby during lockdown. That hobby has quickly become a passion.
