Amazon #1 Best Seller | Winner of Multiple Awards (e.g., Independent Press Award, Feathered Quill Gold)

Berlin, 1948: The wartime Allies are at each other's throats, and the prize is Berlin. Is a new war about to start?

In the bombed-out ruins of post-WWII Berlin, hope is on the brink of extinction. The economy is crippled, the currency worthless, and the Soviet Union casts a hungry shadow over the besieged city. As former allies clash and the world teeters on the brink of World War Three, ordinary citizens - war heroes and war's victims alike - face impossible choices. Then, when a Russian fighter downs a British passenger plane, the escalating tension explodes. Can the defenders of freedom unite to save Berlin from Soviet tyranny? The pivotal Berlin Airlift is about to become the first decisive battle of the Cold War.

From award-winning historian and novelist Helena P. Schrader, Cold Peace is a meticulously researched historical thriller that plunges you into the human drama behind the West's extraordinary "bloodless victory" against Soviet aggression during the Berlin Airlift. This gripping novel marks the powerful beginning of the Bridge to Tomorrow Series.
