Über den Autor

The Westminster Confession of Faith was produced by the Westminster Assembly of Divines, a gathering of theologians and church leaders convened by the English Parliament in 1643. The assembly met at Westminster Abbey in London and worked for several years to develop a series of doctrinal standards for the reformation of the church. The confession, along with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, became central documents in the Presbyterian and broader Reformed traditions and continues to serve as a doctrinal standard for many churches around the world.
