Her collection of lighthearted nonfiction short stories is titled: BRIGHT-EYED AND BAREFOOT: STORIES OF AN APPALACHIAN GIRL. She holds a Master's degree in Media Arts from the University of Arizona. Born in West Virginia, she is a direct descendant of the early settlers to the area beginning with Johan Jacob Wolf, born at Hackers Creek in 1755. She is also the granddaughter of a deep-pit coal miner.
