Fr. Peter was educated at the University of Minnesota, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Wheaton College Graduate School. In the 1960s, he was regional director of Campus Crusade for Christ, later senior book editor at Thomas Nelson Publishers. He authored numerous books, including Love is Now and The Physical Side of Being Spiritual (Zondervan), and Designed for Holiness (Servant). He was the editor of Coming Home (Conciliar Press).
Fr. Peter reposed on July 1, 2012, at the age of 73.
