In 1968, Hollywood filmed the drama in Czechoslovakia. The filming of "The Bridge at Remagen" was interrupted by the end of the "Prague Spring". Warsaw Pact troops marched in, Soviet tanks blocked roads, military helicopters circled over the set. The crew had to flee... - The book tells both stories alternately, supplemented by up-to-date descriptions of the battlefields of yesteryear. For the research for this book, the author traveled to Remagen and visited the sites of that time. - Illustrated paperback with numerous photos and maps.
