Über den Autor
Professor Philip Wilson ist seit mehr als vierzig Jahren an der Universität Southampton tätig. Er war an der Gründung der Abteilung für Schiffswissenschaften beteiligt, die heute ein fester Bestandteil der Fakultät für Ingenieurwesen und Umwelt ist. In dieser Zeit hat er sich auf die Bestimmung des Verhaltens von Schiffen aller Bauarten gegenüber Wellen konzentriert und im Rahmen dieses Prozesses auch Vorlesungen über Schiffsstabilität gehalten.
