Tara Thomas Pinckney is a wife, mother, educator, and [...] was born, raised, and still resides in Mount Pleasant, SC. Being the daughter of retired educators, education has always been important to her. This value in education not only stems from the influence of her parents but also from her grandparents who didn't allow the absence of a formal education to hinder their learning. They continue to instill their life experiences from the 1920s to the present in their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren which stresses the importance of being active in church, home, and education. You can see this influence in Tara Thomas Pinckney's writing as she highlights the importance of family, acceptance, self-confidence, and being appreciative.
