Beschreibung
The Apocryphal Gospels is a collection of texts and new translations of the gospels that were not included in the New Testament. Bart D. Ehrman and Zlato Plese, leading scholars of early Christianity of the University of North Carolina, have compiled 42 English translations of texts and textual fragments from the original Greek, Latin, and Coptic. For the first time, this book includes non-canonical Gospels from the early centuries of the church in an original-textand facing-page-translation edition. This will be a pivotal source of reference for scholars and graduate students of the New Testament, early church history, antiquity and late antiquity, and ancient Greek, Latin, and Coptic languages.
