Emely Elayne Ericksen was born in 2012 and lives in Germany with her family.
She holds both German and American citizenship.
From an early age, she has been fascinated by stories, suspense, and eerie legends.
She is especially drawn to myths from different cultures and to the question of how fear begins,
and what happens when reality and imagination start to blur.
Inspired by the Japanese legend of Kuchisake-onna, she developed her own story about isolation, perception,
and a threat that cannot be clearly understood or explained.
