Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one casualty and personnel return, twenty-four reports, narratives and plans, nine Operation Orders, two appendices, two maps and five diagrams. Among the papers are: 3rd Division. list of casualties November 1914; Narrative of operations of 3rd Division. 22nd-31st December, 1914; Narrative of operations of the 3rd Division. 1st to 6th January, 1915. (both inclusive).
