VALERIE FRETT is a former educator of Caribbean descent. She spent her earlier years studying language and linguistics. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading about families, family relationships, and responsibilities. Valerie is a parent of three. Applying some of the insights gathered from her reading, she was able to equip her children with strong family values. In The Making of the Family, she would like to share some of these insights with a wider audience. Valerie is also a former writer for her local newspaper.
