People have always come to Denver for new beginnings. It's a city that welcomes adventurous people with fresh ideas. This has made Denver the region's cultural, economic, and artistic hub-gateway to the American West. The natural majesty that surrounds Denver can feel almost spiritual, and the city's music venues, restaurants, and bars reflect this spirit of possibility. The Queen City of the Plains is booming, and this surprisingly creative travel book reveals 111 open secrets to her ongoing appeal.

Über den Autor
Philip D. Armour is a freelance journalist, editor, and author based in Colorado’s Front Range. Published everywhere from The New York Times to Outside, he’s equally comfortable skinning up 14ers and navigating Denver’s backstreets. Philip has been enamored with “Paris on the Platte” since first visiting in 1992. If you’re ever at Brother’s Bar, please pay his tab.
Susie Inverso has now photographed three books in the 111 Places series. After spending her entire life in Chicago, she and her husband decided to relocate to Denver so they could enjoy the beauty of the mountains. When not hiking, biking, or skiing, Susie runs Crimson Cat Studios in Lakewood and loves capturing portraits of families, pets, and couples against the gorgeous backdrops that Colorado offers.
